I've been trying to persuade my mates that this is a love affair, PS£ is here to stay. Don't rush, don't panic, we'll be victorious in the end. There's nothingin the way for the next 5 years (at least). This console has got HORSE POWER to end them all! Looking forward to Motorstorm, Resistence, Resi 5, Burnout 5 and Pro (please make it REAL! The PS3 is going to have to prove that it's great. It's great, and is the best system 'out of the box' however, there's a lot of work that needs to be done so that it can become proven greatness. Sometimes that potential doesn't quite work out (as the HDD proves), but most of the time it does and is definitely worth the wait. I just hope that Sony ramps up their firmware updates quickly so that some of these annoying issues (no OS multi-tasking) that are now can be gone by the time more mainstream gamers come onto the scene.
