So here’s my question: does anyone at Sony pay attention to what’s actually being said? Do they know that there are gamers out there with legitimate complaints?

My guess is no, since all they want to do is silence the critics.

Anti-Sony sentiment is a direct result of Sony’s truly awful attitude towards their customers. Why not learn from the criticism and get some respect from the community?

It’s not negative fanboyism that’ll affect any console, it’s treating your customers like shit that hurts a brand…..

I liked this article — it was a good read. However, I can’t say I like your proposed solution. As long as we have 3 companies vying for our console bucks and fans of each one, there will always be preferences, and there will always be debate. I think it’s good for everybody that debate can happen in a place where all 3 come together, and sheltering each group from the other will only create a more bitter and less informed rivalry. That’s what I think, but I appreciate that you guys would want to do something about it

DC - PS2 is 50x more powerful and it renders movie quality graphics. PS2 online is so comprehensive it is like jacking into the matrix. Same interface! It is so much hidden powerful Saddam(RIP) has a truckload hidden under his cave bed. PS2 are the WMDs! It is no wonder Bush missed them!

GC - Purple toy for the kids. We do not acknowledge its existence

Xbox - Will be dead on arrival. Xbox PC chips are too slow compared to our Emotion Engine! Xbox Live is a small ripple compared to our 1m Socom users.

NDS - Gimmicky toy. Nintendo has held portable gaming in the ghetto hostage. PSP will liberate the poor souls. Our PSP is selling a world record numbers. It is the new Walkman of the 21st century.

Xbox 360 - Xbox 1.5. MS is only catching up with what we were offering on the PS2. PS3 Cell is so powerful we sent spies to forums hyping it up for years. A supercomputer with up to 1 Trillion calculations that can cure cancer. PSN is the power of Cells talking to each other. Bluray will make better graphics. PS3 is worth taking up 2 jobs. Killzone and Motorstorm CGI are real engines running at 5fps and we think Motorstorm has met our target. We have the best hardware and software but you just have to wait till E3..PSM…TGS….CES..DICE…GDC…E4…wait..do not buy any of the 2 next gen consoles.

Wii - Novelty like the DS. It does not compete with us. We do not acknowledge it.

Sony - Pot hi Kettle. boooo hooooo the internet is having a payback at our lies.

I have seen very technical sites post absolutly technical rubbish about the PS3. But even if they know that , they are still posting it as “news”.

Those articles are the most active because there every xbox fanboy can (again) ventilate his opinion about the PS3 our rehash previouw (false) rumours. That is google adsense working for you.

What is even more pathetic is the press, particularly Ziff-Davis and C-net, are constantly publishing these stories that can only be labeld as “Anti-Sony”. It makes me wonder if people really hate Sony that much or if Microsoft is finally starting to demonstrate their infamous “cut-throat” PR tactics in the gaming industry. I find it very dfficult to beleive that an entire group of editors on a website hate sony that much, they have to be getting paid under the table or somthing. The press even goes as far as starting these outlandish rumors about highly-anticipated PS3 exclusives jumping ship on sony just to take hype away from the PS3. That is just pathetic on so many levels.

I happen to own a PS3 and I am very pleased with the hardware and I think Sony has put together an excellent product. I only have to wait for the software now. But otherwise I think this console is worth more than the $600 as it is. I would also appreciate it if Sony would update the PS store more frequently, I am finding it hard to have faith in their online service when they are barely getting any demos especially from 3rd parties. I mean, XBL already has a ton of 3rd party demos of games that are also coming to PS3. where are the PS3 demos? why don’t we get a THP8, FEAR, Def jam Icon, or even a VF5 demo on the sony download service? It does not seem like it should be that hard to put a free demo up on your download service. It does not help that I can no longer get demo discs from OPM, which was recently shut down (probably another strike at sony from Ziff-Davis). I hope sony can get this stuff sorted out becuase the PS3 really is a great peice of hardware, now sony just needs to prove it to the non-beleivers.
