I don’t understand why Polyphony would charge for “Prologue” when it is essentially a demo. Though it is a bit more full-featured than typical demos, the $40 (4,500 yen) price tag seems steep. I could see myself paying a small price say $5 - $10 for the download but not a price that is so close to the price of a full game.

I know there is a precedent with GT4 Prologue but what they did for GTHD was brilliant, I had hoped such a convention would last.

as i am a big fan of the driving sim i own all the gt games and both the foza games and foza2 took my breath away with the looks but and a big but the vids iv seen of gt5 prologue have given me a hartattack
and to the comment only 40 cars hope you no it takes them about six months to make the car so 6 x 40 you work it out plus the fact that as we have got ps store there will be car packs new track packs
cant wait for it !!!!

I bought the GT4 Prologue, and you know I’m going to get this one too. It’s all about the online element for me, sure the damage would be nice but it’s not a deal breaker. The only problem I ever really had with GT was the opponent AI, blindly following their racing line. Racing against real people should make for much more interesting races.

I read somewhere that when they demoed it recently, the guy from Polyphony actually played it using the D-Pad rather than a wheel or even the analogue sticks. I’m liking his style.

If this is as awesome as the GT HD demo (and lets face it, it’s gonna be), i’m happy to pay for it. Why shouldn’t those who make the time to release something decent get paid for it? If you don’t want to pay for this, and would prefer to wait for the full version of GT5, i dont see that you’re under obligation to buy Prologue.

What annoys me is when people release sub-par crummy delayed ports and expect you to pay full whack for it. if you’re going to release something new, and decent, then I’m more than happy to pay.

But like many others, I would like to see a damage model of some kind, even if it’s just cosmetic. And on-line play,……awesome!

Dont get too excited people it could be a long wait 3 or 4 months maybe even more! Sony likes to get people all excited then slapping a delay in your face.

Another thing, we’re goint to shell out 20 quid or so most likely for content that will be also in the game when released. Means we are basically paying 70 quid for a game - think about it. Or will Sony allow us to buy it cheaper if we buy Prologue… I mean demo?

Hmm will these cars offer damage, something racing games started doing over 10 years ago? Also everyone is wrapped up in Prologue, people its a DEMO. GT promises so much but the hting is its already being done now by Forza 2. A lot of the blurb above was about the history of GT, how many units it sold and how now itunstoppable with PS3. Quit the promises Sony and deliver! Its been naother week of not turning the PS3 on…

Nice! Bring on the Nissan GTR!! Now we need more PS3 wheel/shifter/pedal controller kits on the market. Something similar in quality and features to the Logitech G25, but not so insanely expensive.

This thing is priced more than half the cost of the PS3 itself. Needs to be no more than $150US.

only 40 cars thats a littlebit compared to previous versions of the game but grand turismo still rules
