I don't see how they can say that the combat was deep and complex, yet repetitive. seems like a conflict of interest. Anyway, this is a game i'm buying for sure! If they do make a squeal to HS I hope they do a better job. God of War is an excellent example, you do the same stuff over and over again but the battles never get boring. HS with it's 3 combat styles, which are really cool, seems to mess up the structure of the game. :'( Oh and I don't know why the reviewers complain about the lack of a block button, she auto-blocks for you ppl what's wrong with that? Being spoilt with games such as the longest journey or metal gear - games that provide an overwhelming backdrop of plots and story arcs are what keep me coming back. You believe more in what your accomplishing in-game if you identify with the characters and the plight they may be in. Being honest thought, the biggest attraction for myself towards heavenly sword is the storyline and art style - albeit i enjoyed the demo.
