i paid over Â£700 pounds for my ps3 to have it shipped from japan early, and i have to put up with not being able to play pal ps1 and ps2 games, that was a joke, then now japan compatibilty for rumble is a joke compared to the european and us i should get it all for the cash i paid..

Sony are never going to do trade-ins of the old controllers whilst they’re trying to get rid of the ones they’ve already got. It’s very likely that the whole reason for delaying the Dual Shock 3 in some territories is to reduce stock of the redundant SIXAXIS.

Personally, I won’t even consider getting a PS3 until the Dual Shock 3 is bundled as standard.

No its not, its like being told specifically by the sales man this is the best car you can have for your money and they’re not releasing the Super Charged version because it’s not technically possible, then low and behold the very next day they do release that bigger, faster model.

And unless you work for Sonys legal department, no-one officially knew Sony would buckle and be able to release the dualshock3 at a later date, given all the hot air they spouted about Last Gen, so you can surely understand why most of us are annoyed by having to shell out again for something that should’ve been here from the very start.

Any chance Sony can just stick to the truth instead of bullshitting us, I mean I was decent enough to pay Â£425 for my PS3 and all I have to show for it is Motorstorm, RFOM and WarHawk!

If you want wireless rumble, why wait a full 6 months for this controller that is only compatible with a handful games, when right now you can get a 3rd party controller for the PS2 and enjoy rumble with thousands of quality titles. At 1/4 of the price, with a huge catalog of existing and upcoming games and support for a wide variety of 3rd party peripherals, and built-in support for rumble, surely the PS2 is the true next-gen console.

Great ideas Apnomis, but sadly I can see what will happen. They will churn out a PS3 six axis controller with the PS2 rumble pack in so you have to shell out for that, then 6 months after that they will announce a touch sense controller like you have described and expect you to pay for that too.
It all adds up to an excellent excercise in fleecing the people you are supposed to be catering for.
