What if the Memory Stick I have decides to die and I lose all my downloaded (and paid for) content? What's in the Sony small print about all this on-line purchasable download content? When putting in a Maestro card it asks for the Issue Number, and shows a picture of the back of a card with some digits circled, saying "this is the issue number". OH NO IT ISN'T! That's the security number, and you don't need it here. Don't put anything in the Issue Number field, and it should be OK. @15 The site has some card problems, especially for Maestro users - it lies to you.

Firstly, despite advertised as allowing you to use "your music", what it actually means is "your mp3s" - so if all your music is WMA from MS Media Player, it's invisible (and, so, inaudible). Quite apart from the Sale of Goods Act problem, there's just no excuse - as has been said, the XMB supports WMA, *and* it's a free licence, so come on now, this is essential. Secondly, the "Jamming" function isn't finished! This allows you to "mix" (in actuality just switch on and off - no level adjustment or even fade in/out possible) various supplied loops. The trouble is the loops don't join up - there's an audible silence at the end of every repeat (and every fourth repeat is worse for some reason). That, the lack of any function for the analogue nub (mixing? cross-fading?, alternate chords?), the requirement to switch tracks one at a time (or combine them only in real time), the inability to combine loops from different song sets, and the inability to even change key, makes it feel like a rough proof-of-concept - it'll be nice when its finished. Disappointing. There are two significant problems with BEATS, and as such I really can’t recommend it in its current incarnation.

I relented and bought the online update for Tekken. I think I've managed to have 3 fights in total since it came out. Between network errors or people just kicking you from the game for no apparent reason I am on the verge of phoning the Sony helpline to get my money back. Don’t do it!!!
