Got Â£40 gift vouchers off ARGOS bacause my PS3 was three days late ( should of been a day 1 delivery ), Long story but it shows, it’s worth a complaints letter.

Burnout Revenge is a damm fine Demo, roll on 25th Jan 2008. Thank god EA are only the publishers and not the coders otherwise it’ll run like a pig, stutter for no reason and of course, wouldn’t be the lead dev machine. Thank god Criterion have the brains to choose the PS3 as the lead dev as it runs beautifully….. I for one will buy it.

Anyone else had the problem where you invite a friend, who then joins but neither of you can see one another on the screen or map. However you are both playing and can see the scoreboard listing both players, your opponents score is alway 0 though. When you view your friend through the on-line menu it says “already in lobby”.

At first I thought it was one of our network connections but we could both play normally with other people.

I then made an open server which my friend joined, I could see one of the other cars but again my friend would not show up and his score remained 0.

Very strange.

I’ve also had problems with online play and it’s nothing to do with my broadband set-up. Seeing as every other online game I have works fine seems like a problem with EA’s servers to me! Will hopefully be fixed for the full release!

back again, serious problems with the online side of things. while in offline mode i can play it for ages no trouble, but after going online it will play for maybe 1/2 hour or so, sometimes less and just lock my ps3 right up. it’s a turn off at the back job. the voip still runs as i can chat with others locked up in the same session.

not good. not good at all.

burnout online…. yes, well, that worked well didn’t it, all the other drivers i came across last night were just content to play silly buggers driving into each other and not doing much else.

left me open to be the best in all the stats i guess.

nice to see the eyetoy works with it, and i don’t have to buy a new eye for the in-game gurning etc.

one problem is that wiping out is seriously too easy to happen, no traffic rampage in this puppy!

kinda agree with 29 Harl there. it looks nice but i’m not sure if this free roaming business is really Burnout at heart.

EA destroyed Burnout by changing it into Need for Speed. RIP Burnout.
