I am really not impressed with the update to the PC store, the functionality to initiate the downloads on the PC store but then queue them up on your PS3 has been removed absolutely rubbish, the PC network downloader software is rubbish, you can’t queue downloads and therefore have to do each one turn by turn whilst the PSP is on connected to the PC, being on a slow download speed I am lucky if the PSP battery will last to complete the downloads, please reinstate the ability to queue the downloads on the PS3 and then Copy to PSP, it makes much more sense, in fact it would be much better if I didn’t have to touch the PC at all and could get my PSP games and demos via my PS3, this makes much more sense.

Sort it out Sony, currently not only do the lacklustre updates vs US/JPN annoy but having to use a PC for PSP PSN feels very disjointed and quite sloppy and un professional.

how about they stop wasting thier time giving us videos, game trailers, wallpapers, themes, crappy addons and ancient ps1 games that died out years ago and instead give us 1 full game, can we offer a trade to SCEE?

Its been so long since they have given us a game that ive actually forgotton what i was waiting for in the first place…i would rather have piyotama than all that crap listed thier…oh well guess ill just spend a couple of hours enjoying the new locoroco wallpaper

37: Actually, PAL sales of Sony products have always been high. PS3 hardware sales are pretty much on a par with Japanese numbers - possibly even higher - despite having been out for considerably less time.

Given the higher price of the hardware here, that makes PAL far from the smallest market.

If software sales don’t match up with that then do you think it might possibly be because an increasingly large part of the market is becoming aware - thanks to the internet - that you can get the games cheaper *and* earlier by importing from the US/Canada? SCEE are hurting *themselves* with the delayed releases. I’ve bought games from the US, because I’m not willing to wait for the arbitrarily delayed UK release. I’ve bought games for the XBox 360 because I got sick of waiting for the PS3 release to creep out over here - Puzzle Fighter being the obvious example.

Unless SCEE get their arses in gear people like me are just not going to support them. I have no loyalty to SCEE - far from it, given the contempt with which Sony has treated Europe in the past. They have to earn my custom, and in a globalised economy they’re fighting their other international arms for it just as much as they’re fighting the competition in the form of Microsoft and Nintendo. And they’re losing on all fronts.

@43,true regarding your point of demos
but why do we have to wait for a game which has been gold since September (LAIR),and where able to buy it since November.
luckely i was able to import it for 54$(38 euro) instead of 64 euro’s here.

Piracy is mostly due to the long wait times for the EU,looking at movies & DVD-releases.
why wait 6 months to a year if you can import the movie for the same price.

Sony shoots themself in their foot by “no WW-releases”
it’s the INTERNET-era for god-sack, nobody is buying magazines anymore,or watching adds on TV (thank god for TIVO)
Sony WW has a machine capable of doing it all and only SCEE is sleeping compaired to the other 2 SCEx

where is the time where “Customer is always right”,”Customer is king” was the common rule…

We, de customers, demand, 1 store, equal Electronic distribution of games,

being in the us, i found this update quite substantial! I love(d) the kane and lynch demo. i’m likely to buy or at least rent the game, now that i’ve had some hands on time. and the themes are great. The HS one is my fav.

well demos are a different matter, even if they are localised and ready to release, there is no point releasing it until the full game is about to come out, or is out. Most people don’t play demos more than a couple of times, and you don’t want them to lose interest by the time the full game is released.

I wouldn’t be surprised to read on bbc news any day now of SCEE being firebombed by rioting gamers. I’ve never seen how one once dominate gaming company has completely lost the plot. In other news.. I just read the 360 version of burnout paradise looks better than the ps3 version >_

We are constantly being told that Sony read this blog etc yet in 9 months we have been voicing our dissatisfaction we have seen little or no improvement possibly even a worsening of the situation.
This particular piece of news now has 38 replies, most of them are not complimentary and we have one solitary reply from a member of Threespeech.
This is simply not acceptable and I urge Threespeech once again to get a member of SCEE management on here to defend their position on these matters.
The update by the way is once again very poor, very poor indeed.
