Haze is still the big 08 release for me, though. This game is beginning to look super yum-yum, even to my cynical, bloodthirsty eyes.

LPB might well be the Killer App that the PS3 has been waiting for. I'm not betting on MGS4, KZ2, MotorStorm, Resistance2 or GT5 to be the ones that will be the killer apps. Why? Simply because they're old franchises (in most cases) and we've seen too much of them already! I'd have preferred them to be shrouded in a bit more mystery and then just explode onto the scene on an unsuspecting media and public. But LPB - no matter how much of it you put in the press- the next bunch of screenshots look completely different from the previous! And that's a testament to its flexibility and diversity, which I think are going to be its differentiators. I hope for three things to happen to LPB when it's finally released: 1. No public beta. Just focus on releasing the game. 2. It's released world-wide at the same time. 3. There'll never be a LPB2; the first one just gets updated on PSN as time goes on. A new concept, if you will, whereby the actual engine code is updated, not just new packs, maps, levels being created by the developers and/or public. That would be something...
