On this occasion I suspect the competition prize may cost a little more to post overseas than just a Blu-ray game (…looks back at contents of goodie bag… OK, fair enough, not much more).

I would hope that it is noted that you are having to read & contribute to a UK-based site, so maybe you should be lobbying Sony for an official &/or unofficial forum for your region instead?

Do the PlayStation Network/Store (I’m never quite sure why the updates are “PSN Updates”, not “PS Store Updates”!?!) contents released to Australasia mirror those you read about for Europe? Or do your updates resemble those in Japan &/or Hong Kong? If you do receive the same ’service’ as the UK, then arguably the PAL territories cover a much wider audience than the US Official Blog.

Perhaps ThreeSpeech prefer being semi-official, or perhaps they have just not been invited to be the official source of information.

Either way, one would hope that someone at Sony is considering worldwide coverage soon.

I’m surprised it wasn’t in place for the day of release (if not the first availability of the PS3 in Japan, certainly as each region’s release date arrived).
