PS3 UT3 allows the import of mods, but that is user created additional content - not studio created content, so I'm undecided as to whether that should stand. The exclusive titles are proving themselves to be contenders, without a doubt, but they're so few & far apart plus they can be completed in days rather than the weeks or months I remember games such as Elite and Populous taking me to finish - hence the glaring gaps in the market. I do have my fingers crossed for Fallout 3 being a good long term committer, but it's not an exclusive title. So what next? Final Fantasy? It should read "what a waste by HMV for stocking that new album, I got it last month from the US for half the price, including shipping" - nothing illegal there, I'm just fed up of waiting MONTHS (Unreal Tournament 3 anybody?) for the same product to be released on these shores at nearly double the price. It's an absolute outrage & there's no justification for it whatsoever. Yes, I'd much rather buy the Euro version at a reasonable price - I'm a Sony fan to the core, but I'm really starting to have my doubts. With the notable exception of MGS4, I can't honestly say the PS3 versions of any of the current titles are any better than other versions, especially when they keep getting delayed release dates. Fatal Inertia? Tried the demo yet? It made me want to cry - "oh, it's much better than the other version" - that it might be, but it's still substandard. I'm so hoping they release WipEout HD soon & negate any fears I have. I want to own the king of consoles, hence I bought the PS3 at release, but so far I feel like the unwanted uncle who turns up to the party uninvited & drunk, letches at the girls & bores relatives with stories of glories past... Hopefully with the recent news that Sony are looking to create an 'official' European/UK communications channel to complement the existing US Blog site, and the good ground work that ThreeSpeech.com has offered, we should not have to resort to sourcing information ourselves. But, to be honest, I can count on the fingers of one hand, the number of times I have looked at the XrossMediaBar [XMB] RSS Feed &/or logged into the official site via the PS3 browser. If the PSP can have 'Google' search results within the XMB (with the latest two firmware updates), I'm sure it won't be long before we can subscribe to news channels on the PS3. Which reminds me... Electronic Arts send me information relating to the products I have bought once they detect I have played online (after the initial sign-up procedure to the service). If the amount of e-mail traffic could be restricted to one or two per month & not be too over-bearing, I would like to see other Companies offering similar services. BFN, fp. @50 [tw33t3rz]:

If upgrades, updates, patches &/or game packs are available as downloadable content you also need to keep the channels to the other regions open so that the non-local game title can be supported too. Also, it helps if you are reporting facts about the number of users of the PlayStation Network too... [ http://www.ps3fanboy.com/2008/06/26/over-9-8-million-served-on-psn/ ] What with multiple Master & multiple Sub accounts for each Master account the actual quantity of unique parties 'served' will be less that 9.8 million, but it is a great statistic to quote to rivals :) BFN, fp. @49 [Matthew]:

We've had updates before where its just been a couple of trailers, so while this is nothing special I honestly can't see why people are so irate over this. And as for the whole downloading from the US store business; as I'm sure its pointed out by someone each time, Sony actually "fixed" the Uncharted demo when UK users complained about the US demo being region locked, so I can't see them barring people from the PSN.
