I don't like beat'em up games anymore, with those fingerbreakin combos. Also the presentation is absolutly weak. The graphic improvements i hoped for, werent there. It's no must title for me. I am waiting for SWFU. It's more that type of game i like. I played it for about 30 Minutes and that was it. I don’t like beat’em up games anymore, with those fingerbreakin combos. The "Tower-of-Souls"-mode for example proves to be quite disappointing considering the sheer quality of the previous "Tales-of-the-Sword", thus making it the weakest feature of ALL its precessors (including "Soul Edge"). Katas, survival-, team-modes, more gallary-unlockables (and a astonishing intro for that matter) would have also been a nice feat... although it could be possible that namco delivers at least some of them as dlc in near future (for some extra bucks of course... similar to the unlocking of "yoda"/"vader" via dlc). Ultimately, the biggest disappointment for me was the so called "Story-Mode", which turned out to be very poor and minimalistic compared to SC3: Very few cut-scenes, no alternative routes or secrets and most unfortunate - no alternative endings. Cutting out alternative endings was actually a major down for me, since I was very happy to see this feature from good-ole "Soul-Edge" reappear in SC3. ;( In the end SC4 is a very good and solid game gameplay-wise with some issues. What remains is a feeling that the game is somehow incomplete and - aside from all its online-goodness - not as opulent as it used to be, not in terms of audio-visual-brilliance but of variety. ^_^! All the variance and style has gone out of the window - what you're left with is a bare bones fighter with a decent online mode. I'd hope DLC fattens up what is no bigger than Tekken DR and twice the price - but i'm not holding my breath. SC3 was almost perfect, bar a few balancing issues the game had content's galore and a wealth of ideas and modes. Compared to previous installments SCIV is poor. Darth Vadar's not as bad as people have said, he's been helping me get through an otherwise quite hard tower of souls mode (I'm extremely stuck on the one where they have full auto nullify ring out and full auto block). I'm missing that admittedly dodgy RPG mode from the last one though, that was probably the thing I spent the most time on for some reason. The elements they've borrowed from other fighting games work quite well (fatalitys (MK), tag in(Tekken-tag)) and I've really been enjoying the 'Tower of Souls mode', so much so I've not even looked at creating my own character. I've had some trouble with lag online but I don't know if thats due to the servers or other peoples crappy connections. Any idea when we get the DLC??
