It worries me when games go over that £5 barrier because I own no physical media, and 20 years down the line if I fancy a retro play on my old ps3 I wanna be certain that I still own all the software I paid good money for. I'm getting a bit peeved with sony in general tbh, I got my ps3 over a year ago now because of all the hype they were giving home and it's still not even arrived. I've always said £5 was the magic number for impluse games, and it bugs me that companies like Capcom Charge £7, and Ubi has lost my business (and many others) by charging £8 for a 21 year old game (regardless of have pretty they've made it look). All I was doing was trying to give a balanced arguement so I didn't sound like a whinging fanboy saying "It's not fair it should be cheaper!" As far as I'm concerned companies like Ubi should swallow the exrate changes or hedge them. The PSN has set a precedent for £4.99 and £3.49 titles and anything over that will feel expensive. They're no way they'd try to up $9.99 titles to $12.99 titles in the States, so why do they think they can get away with it in the EU? All we can do is just not buy it, if companies sell 500,000 copies at £5 or 200,000 at £8, then it makes them more money to sell it at £5, it's as simple as that. I only wish ThreeSpeech was more like the Official US Blog as there'd be more chance of Ubi or other publishers reading this... @ TheFamousKevin & Terry G,

I'll summarise for you, its too damn expensive Sony sort it out! The only game I have bought on purpose was Wipeout everything else has been through thinking "what the hell its a few quid". I don't mind buying something for a fiver and thinking its crap after a few plays, anything more than that I'm not so happy about. In general I'm getting annoyed with how this credit cruch is putting the costs of everything up when in reality it should be doing the opposite what with us having less money in our pockets now and demand going down. @Apnomis, TheFamousKevin…

I love PSN games for £5 - I just can't help even buying ones I don't want. This is the reason I didn't buy echochrome. I know you weren't supporting this policy, but I just wanted to attack the argument, and you made it. @ Apnomis

It almost makes me wish Sony would introduce a points system with a fixed exchange rate. POP:Classic is 800 points on LIVE - and it's been out for well over a year. Now Americans have nothing to worry about as 800 = $10, and POP PSN is $10. But in the UK 800 points = £6.80, which means PS3 owners are paying £1.19 more for having to wait an extra 16 months! Although to be fair the pound is weakening against the dollar, and whereas in the summer it was $2 to the poind, it's now nearer $1.58 to the pound. So $9.99 = £6.32 + 17.5% VAT = £7.43, which is not a million miles out. Still, much like gas/electricity companies and petrol companies, they're quick to up the prices but I bet they'll not be so quick to lower them if things go the other way... Yoda is a little expensive and not half as good as Vadar(i imagine a lot of xbox players are now relishing in what theyve been missing, surely they got vadar when we got yoda?). But really, does anybody know when we're getting these other add'on's for soul calibur? It's halloween next week and I quite like the novelty of giving my characters pumpkin heads. New pain level looks pretty decent, cant believe how quickly theyve done this level compared to how long the theme park took to arrive, good stuff indeed. To focus in on Soul Cal. Can anyone explain to me why there are so few demos for upcoming releases? Surely it's in the company's interests to pass some to SCEE for us to try before we buy. Less trailors, more demos please.
