The controls took a min or two to adjust to, sure, but after that, no problem. Great graphics for the PSP, great fun. I've preordered it for £17.99, can't argue with that, can't wait. I enjoyed Resistance 1 & 2 on the PS3, and now I can't wait for this to turn up for the PSP. I'm almost as excited about this release, as I am for Killzone 2...almost moreso in a way, as I expected Killzone 2 to look fantastic, whereas I can't wait to see what they've achieved from the PSP with Retribution. Well done guys. For £17.99 you can't go wrong! What a bunch of moaning minnies! ;)

They should've got Ricky Tomlinson to say "A-R-S-E" instead the poor voice acting for the (British?) Royal Marine James Grayson. Not a "must have" purchase for me. I'll stick with "Resistance: Fall of Man", I think. Pity. BFN, fp. Hmmm… just watched the embedded video above.

I've not tried the "Resistance: Retribution" demo yet, though. Going off my experience with the online Multi-player Beta/Trial version of the PS3 complement title that I was very in favour of [before being introduced to "Killzone 2" :)] it left me disappointed by the full commercial release. I still play online with "Resistance 2" but I've never had the urge to return to the (single player) story mode (for that very reason; it was for single players). With this in mind, although a PSP user, I'm not overly keen to try the handheld variant as it will just remind me what could have been on the PS3. Unless, of course, the PSP version has a two (or more) player wireless link-up in the same game play environment... but I guess only Nintendo do this (successfully). The whole "game sharing" feature is a great idea in theory, but in practice, the amount of data you have to transfer across the airwaves on a slow connection just slows down the gaming fun. If you've ever changed characters whilst playing "Tekken: Dark Resurrection" on a "game sharing" PSP link-up you'll know what I mean. Just a though regarding the forthcoming press-labelled "PSP 2" update to the Sony handheld... it would be an idea to integrate a motion sensitive (pitch up/down, yaw left/right, roll left/right) device so that the new console can compete with the likes of the iPhone. Shaking off a flame-ridden on-screen character in a handheld "Resistance" title would be the obvious application alongside "Mercury Meltdown" on-screen interaction. I can see the homebrew community produced an "Etch-a-Sketch" type drawing title too. I just didn't like it that much.. The aiming was a little odd, and yeh,.. I find the PSP at its best doing rpgs and puzzle games, not shooters. Good effort though and I'm sure it will find its fans. Might even give the full game a try if I happen to see it cheap or feel particularly frivolous... It did look lovely graphically, I'll give it that I didn’t get on with the demo, it looked great, even played ok in parts, but… I just didn’t like it that much..
