Just had a press release from Sony all about the Home press event. Click through for the official press release. Those lucky, lucky journalists…
First global press event in PlayStation®Home takes place: journalists from around the world visit SCE’s virtual arena for exclusive interviews with Insomniac and Sucker Punch.
E3, Los Angeles, Calif., 17h July, 2008: E3 entered a whole new dimension yesterday when, for the very first time, a select group of journalists conducted their press interviews with developers Insomniac and Sucker Punch in Sony Computer Entertainment’s PlayStation®Home (Home), the forthcoming online world for PLAYSTATION®3 users.
The invitation-only event lasted for an hour, with journalists probing the avatar representatives of the developers about forthcoming titles including Resistance™2, Ratchet and Clank™: Quest for Booty and inFamous™ — as well as chatting about the games industry in general.
In addition to conducting interviews, journalists were able to take a guided tour of the newly launched PlayStation® Events Space – replete with E3 branding, brand-new mini-games and E3 videos – experiencing a space which will continue to host similar events for first- and third-party developers in the future.
While the developers entered Home from E3 in Los Angeles, journalists from around the world attended the press event – making this Home occasion a truly global media experience.
Dan Hill, European Home Service Manager, commented, “Home is an exciting service for our customers and journalists alike, and will add huge value to PLAYSTATION®Network. The Events Space is a great way for us to interact with both media and the PlayStation community, and this is just the first of a number of events that we’ll be hosting over the coming months”.
Sounds pretty cool, just like the LBP presentation at E3.

I think they are posting this to show that there is such a product as Home…
I still don’t believe it exists.

There is no European PlayStation Blog does not exist. This website is set up by an external marketing company, so there are no journalists involved either.
