Another question that was recently put to Three Speech:
Question: ‘When will Sony release an adapter that will let us use our Dual Shock controllers on the PS3 for when we play PS2 games that support force feedback, but don’t support motion sensing?’
Answer from PlayStation: ‘While we have no plans to produce our own adaptor at present, a third party company (Nyko) have made the following announcement - http://kotaku.com/gaming/nyko/ps3-charging-base-ps2-controller-adapter-coming-226995.php..’
The controlers will not have force feedback I think, because the spokesman of SCEA said in an interview about a driving wheel made by Logitech this:
“All PS3 games are programmed for the SIXAXIS which doesn’t have force feedback, therefore the force feedback in the wheels won’t be recognized. “

Do not confuse rumble and force feedback. I’ve seen many people saying they have force feedback on driving games such as RR7, NFS: Carbon and GTHD Concept.
I know this is off-topic, but I’d like to ask this to ThreeSpeech: What happened to the PS3 conference at CES that took place two hours ago? I don’t see any media coverage. What’s wrong?

VG Aficionado, you can view the conference on GameSpot. Not much point though, it’s not very interesting. Mainly talking about numbers and a lot of it has already been said in press releases, etc. No real news.
The guy did say that Motorstorm runs at full 1080p/60fps though, which I think he got wrong. News to me if that’s true though.

Thank you Soong, I had seen that already. I just find it weird that there’s no coverage of the 1 hour PS3 conference that was featured in a Sony schedule. Maybe it wasn’t a conference per se.
Anyway, Sony needs to tell us when the European launch is going to happen. It’s less than two months until March and it’s about time they tell us something and show us some more games!

Alright, I have these inported Elecom adapters.
They work fine for certain games that require the digital input in the PS3 mode, but when I boot into PS2/PS1 mode, none of my gamepads (even the DualShock2) work even after I pressed the ‘analog button’.
Can you tell the Sony firmware Ninjas to include a USB DualShock2 update to allow INPUT from USB adapters into the PS2/PS1 mode.
