Insomniac Games debuted some of the first footage from its eagerly anticipated Ratchet And Clank on Friday and judging by the 290,000 views it received over the weekend, seems that it’s already generating a vast amount of interest. Here it is:

Both Ratchet and Drake are looking rather special. Can’t wait for Sony’s E3 press conference.

well, it looks good, but some how i feel that its not what it could have been….. the visuals that is…… anyone agree or disagree?

I disagree TheDirector. It looks pretty amazing with all that background movement and animations going on. If you click menu on the video then goto #3 Ratchet and Clank PS3 ‘1UP Preview’ under related videos they also say the screenshots and this video don’t match up to the actual gameplay. Stating that it looks much better when seeing the actual gameplay.

Never really played a Ratchet & Clank game on PS2 before, but this makes me want to play one on the PS3.

You know what would be funny?

For multiplayer gameplay, whenever a “disco grenade” is thrown at an opponent and goes off, the opponent enters a 5 sec rhythm based mini-game (think DDR) where he/she has to successfully do a dance off. The worse you do, the more damage you sustain. Do it perfectly and you will get a weapon upgrade!! Obviously, the sequence for the mini-game changes randomly so that you don’t end up button bashing the same sequence to get out of a “disco grenade”…

Well.. just a suggestion..

This is going to be an awesome game, Insomniac is on a roll, first with Resistance, now this, they’re going to be quite busy cranking out hits on the PS3. ~_~
