Kotaku reports that VH1 is offering a guaranteed one-of-a-kind PS3 for a competition that has you trundling back down memory lane to win, telling a story about the original PlayStation.
The reason the console will be one of a kind is that you (well, probably not you actually), the winner, will decide what you want to go on it, and it will then be laser-printed onto the console. The winner will also get copies of Calling All Cars and flOw.
Oh, there’s one small drawback: it’s only open to US residents, so anyone eligible should head over to the site and enter, and all anyone else gets is a question: what would you have printed on your PS3? I’d suggest not putting your treasured picture of a blackout in a coalmine, as it probably won’t show that well…

Is that the Calling All Cars that Europeans are being denied on the PS3?
Or perhaps it’s the PS1 nostalga that we are bing denied on the PS3?
I’m getting sick very quick of how badly the European PS3 owners are being treated by Sony, the problem is getting out of control, with European PS boards full of compalints about the console delays, and dire state of the store compared to the US and Japan stores…
Sony can’t afford to lose European Playstation customers, but from this end, it’s happening, and FAST..

I can’t help but notice people are sticking the knife into Sony here, yet the competition is being run by VH1, a music channel owned by MTV.
Perhaps you’d be better off having a go at MTV UK…

It isn’t usually as simple as flicking a switch - much of the time there are numerous issues with multinational licensing; which would presumably be quite a bit harder when considering the various jurisdictions in Europe.

Do you mean Europeans or UK when you ask how hard is it to let us have the same content? I think localisation is proving to be an issue when bring the games over to the European PSS.
