So say Kotaku, who saw the words “For PS3 Only” flash up at the end of a Square Enix Closed Mega Theater presentation of the Final Fantasy XIII trailer.

don’t think so, just remember how often it was said that mgs4 will be exclusive and people are still discussing a 360 port

To be fair on SquareEnix though - forking out a shed load of resources for this installment of final fantasy: as a company to them looking at the 360 market would decrease any risk of financial loss if the PS3 version flopped - either due to poor sales because a lesser percentage have the console or just poor uptake in general.

As a company they want returns and so looking to export a product to a completely new market a.k.a. 360 doesn’t seem unreasonable.

It’s better then those commercials we see with the Xbox logo at the end. M$ is really kicking Sony’s butt when it comes to marketing. A Madden commercial comes on and at the ned you see a 360 logo.. People aren’t very smart, they thing Madden = 360. :/ I wish Sony got more involved and stopped sitting back.

Devil May Cry 4, Resident Evil, Fatal Inertia, Blade Storm and Assassin’s Creed were also exclusive to PS3 at one point. Exclusivitivity means nothing unless it is a 1 St party. Hell even if its forst party it can still appear on anothe system like Micosofts Viva Pinyta going on the the Nintendo DS and Halo DS.

Basically the one big game I am waiting for is Resident Evil, if Sony had held onto the franchise there would be no doubt in my mind.

Thing is I expect it will now appear o nthe 360 earlier and with more content ala GTA4. You cant keep spoonfeeding us crap Sony.

Honestly, some people just can’t believe PS3 actually has third party AAA exclusives and that it will keep them as well. Only the haters truly believe PS3 will lose every single good game so that it becomes multiplatform or even gets its PS3 version canned.

However, what’s most sad about it is that many haters don’t really want some of the PS3 exclusive games: they just want Sony to lose them to brag about it and whatnot.

And all those naysayers that see 360 versions of everything, have they asked themselves how well would do a FFXIII port on the 360? Where does the Final Fantasy franchise make the most sales? Japan. How’s the 360 doing in Japan? Bad. How were the sales of the two previous SquareEnix games on the 360, FFXI and Project Sylpheed? Pure bombas. How well do the RPGs sell in the 360? We are seeing the answer with Blue Dragon, discrete in Japan and discrete in the west.

All signs point to “no”.

this is excellent news if it is indeed true, the ps3 needs some serious exclusive titles right now as the xbox is outselling it with its own brilliant exclusives already out halo, bioshock and gears of war are all top notch. ps3 is currently lacking this… if theres no price drop before the all important christmas period i could see people going for the xbox, this sucks i think sony should be more aggresive and make a better effort to reduce the price before christmas and then again before mgs4 and gta IV if they are to get a better foothold in the next gen market

Bioshock and Gears of War are NOT 360 exclusives. There is a machine called the PC that plays these games very well. Exclusive means only, one, etc. If a game comes out on more than one Platform then it’s not an exclusive. Period. Most of the titles that are released on the X360 find their way to the PC, which is why I don’t feel the need to buy an X360 anytime soon.

On another note, it’s pretty clear that Carl is nothing but a shill for Microsoft. I’ve never seen him spell anything good about Sony nor the PS3, now he’s even throwing fud about first party titles not being exclusive. Why not check his IP? Maybe we will get lucky and he is writing from some Microsoft office. You would have a big story there, ThreeSpeech. Like that Studio Liverpool employee editing the Halo 3 Wikipedia page.

LIVE is full of people which do tons of combinated matches only for hear the sound of “Achievement Unlocked”…
and it’s pretty sick, especially if you want to play for fun or relaxing a bit.

Final fantasy is one of those games that sells consoles in the millions, proof of this is when final fantasy 7 came out. I’m sure sony will keep this exclusive to the ps3.

Off topic but I am going to CRY if SingStar PS3 doesn’t come out soon.

Originally slated for March 07 release - and constantly pushed back almost every month since then - it’s getting beyond a joke. Now many retailers are stating at November 30th release date.

This is tragic! The constant ’stay tuned for more info about song pricing and release date’ is getting tiresome now. There’s been no news on the official blog, no news on the MySpace page and nothing but outdated content on the Official website.

So many people are desperate for this game - it was said the game had gone gold some time ago!
It’s a system seller! Get it on the fricking shelves!

I cant really feel interested in a game that we wont see in Europe until at least 2009 at the earliest..
All I want is what everyone wants which is Final Fantasy VII Remake.
I have just finished FFXII and that just left me cold - crap story and characters.

FFXIII exclusive?. only if M$ dont want it. It seems they have more money for they games division than Sony. Just watching the UK advert for skate and it features a 360 controller several times, at the end they show cases for 360 & Ps3. The 360 case is bigger and in the foreground. To be fair MS has windows & Xbox, Sony has to spend money on other things like TV’s , SATNAV, Audio etc.
