Check out the new US TV adverts for the PS3 at the link below to the US blog. Very hot stuff, we reckon, showing off the machine working at full tilt.

Good strategy, advertising it a year after it’s been out in the U.S.A and 8 months here. everyone else must be doing it wrong advertising before their product before it is released and then an organised campaign after that.
Tsk tsk tsk, silly everyone else in the world.

Just caught Threespeech the second before and after it changed the pic above to ratchet and clank and when they created the PS3 AD’s post - with mispelt text
promptly taken down of course! was about to comment too!

It’s a really positive, powerful, yet accessible message for Playstation 3. I think it would be a good strategy for everyone in the West to adopt (tailor a similar ad to Far Eastern audiences), and definitely to make the “spots” available as free downloads on PS Store - it can’t be hard to see why that should prove effective, given the time of year.
I think this is the sort of message that ought to be issued about what Playstation can bring.

yh pretty cool but shouldnt they spent less time making adverts and more time making decent games for their customers who have already brought the PS3?
Comment by BENNE77 — Nov 1, 2007 @ 5:06 pm
That’s more like it Sony…, take it to em…
A million and one times better than that “this is living” crap.
The PS3 is a games machine, show the kick ass games. nice one.

@4
Yeah, why aren’t the SCEA marketing team making games instead of doing their actual jobs? It’s a mystery…

They should use those ads over here as well. Potential customers want to see GAMES, and that advert shows a few crackers.

Those adverts should just about go global and that track, Ladies and Gentlemen by Saliva, is extremely catchy!

Brilliant ads, in another league from the “strange” white room ads! Catchy tune, summary of value adding features, and gaming eye candy - that’s how to sell a console!!!
I agree these ads should be adopted by SCEE. I love the tune and how the PS3 is pictured litterally bursting at the seams with content and features, it’s a very cool effect and can be applied in any number of ways…
Well done Sony, you’ve actually got your marketing department to do something right for a change!
