We posted a video interview yesterday in which a Konami representative said that MGS4 was on schedule for its release target of Q2 of this year. Looks like she wasn’t simply churning out marketing spiel as the latest Kojima Report Podcast confirms to us, via Ryan Payton (MGS4 Assistant Producer), that the game will face no more delays. The game is just about to go into the testing phase, and apparently it can be played from start to finish. There’s just a few last minute features and part of the opening movie left to finish.
Bring on the simultaneous worldwide release sometime in Q2!

Yes, BRING IT ON INDEED. If any one had played MGS£ online, u know were all in for a treat. the game it’self is looking superb. i just hope kojima makes the best game he can so that he can get to work on ZOE 3.

You know even though this is as close to guaranteed as a release date can get, I’m still not holding my breath. Plus, you have to remember that they set quarter targets because they are probably aiming for April but have a three month window for more slips before their “Q2″ release date falls onto the giant stinking pile of Sony marketing bullshit

Not really MGS related but Game Informer has a cover story that say that Resistance 2 will be launched in Autumn this year! Insomniac are on a 1 year turn around for their titles. Total Awesomeness on a stick.

Nice to see someone is taking the consumer into account! Resistance was/is one of the strongest titles on PS3 imo and the story was great. I can’t wait to see what the Black Ops have planned for Hale and how he will, inevitably, escape
