Threespeech - can’t you get the lowdown from Sony a bit earlier, we all check this out on Thursday evenings - would be nice to read this on Thurs lunch with my sandwish
Comment by Mr Jimmy — Jan 18, 2008 @ 11:04 am
Yeah, I’m reasonably content. Some peopole need to check their expectations
Comment by Tel Hel — Jan 18, 2008 @ 11:05 am
This will come as no surprise but htis update is disgustingly pathetic.
There, I said it.
Comment by Ton Capone — Jan 18, 2008 @ 11:06 am
liking that GVT5 vid!!
Comment by Sponge Bob — Jan 18, 2008 @ 11:07 am
No Turok as available on the US store, and not to mention the lack of downloadable games that the US site has. I’d be more than content if they were looking to bring Pain or bowling over to us as a minimum but nothing.
Can we get a lawsuit going for unfair treatment compared to the US site. Seems to be the fashonable thing to do at the moment.
Comment by Daz — Jan 18, 2008 @ 11:10 am
Just a quickie, but why they can’t Sony post content on any given day - save big releases for Thursday (like new demo’s etc) but surely it would be better for the community as a whole if videos/themes etc were released as and when they were available?
Comment by MrGilder — Jan 18, 2008 @ 11:12 am
@7
but then i guess is the possibility of missing things. when, for a few weeks in 2007, the psn store was great. I was really looking forward to each and every thursday, shame they cant bring back the magic.
Does anybody think things will change with the release of home???
Comment by E-ROLE — Jan 18, 2008 @ 11:17 am
Another NBA demo? Wasn’t there one already? I am sure I downloaded and played one (then deleted it 10 minutes later).
Comment by Tiran Kenja — Jan 18, 2008 @ 11:20 am
“check their expectations”….. January ‘08, two weeks of poor updates, followed by NBA and Fifa street demos… whoopee doo…
I realise the work involved to create a demo - but whilst games get delayed, Haze, MGS, Gran Turismo the PSN should compensate - No? I mean, how many wallpapers, themes, game videos do you really need? Content is whats required, better content means more PS3’s flying off shop shelves - surely?
Or perhaps I’m wrong and we should all sit back and wait for mediocre (Kane & Lynch anyone!!)…
Comment by fusionloch — Jan 18, 2008 @ 11:35 am
@6
do what most people do create a US PSN account and download the turok demo
Comment by Phil — Jan 18, 2008 @ 11:56 am
Thanks for the update on the store TS. Sadly Euogamer beat you to it again.
Dull instant-delete-demos aside its another non-event update.
Another week with no comment on here from SCEE on the delays of games.
And my expectaitons were set back in November when we were given a list of games to expect by the end of December which have not arrived and NO EXCUSE OR REVISED DATES given for them not turning up.
Again, SCEE demonstrate they are useless. They gave up on the talking to the customers a while ago and now can’t even communicate with their PR people now.

Really, i tried Fifa Street 3 demo just to see the graphics.. And learned that they prolly can release/port that shitty game to ps1 aswell.
Really, is that the way to do on a next-gen console?
Why even bother making it.. Waste of time.
Comment by rBerggren — Jan 18, 2008 @ 1:23 pm
Well, the trailers are worthy of a download, but the Guitar Hero tracks? They are waaaay too expensive. I already forked out 75 quid for the game, Im not paying £1.50 just for one song. How gullible do they think I am? Im all for downloadable content, but not if its an excuse to rip off paying customers..
The turok demo from the US site is the highlight this week I think.. Although I havent played it yet, so I could be wrong.

Where is every day shooter, blast factor add on, PAIN plus a ton of stuff the US has already had for months.????//!!!!!!!
Comment by carl — Jan 18, 2008 @ 1:54 pm
Dont forget Turok Demo.
Comment by recon — Jan 18, 2008 @ 2:21 pm
How long is EveryDay shooter going to take?
Would be nice to know what the hold up is
Comment by Sean — Jan 18, 2008 @ 2:44 pm
Three Speech, can you guys let us know why stuff like Everyday Shooter, Pain etc. aren’t available on the PAL store? Is it a localisation issue or different certification process or what? I appreciate the information you guys put up but there seems to be a wall of silence when it comes to this issue and it obviously has quite a few people bothered because the perception is that PAlland is playing second fiddle to the US market. Just a simple post explaining the situation would be nice.

While you’r busy getting the answers,
please ask them also about the pricing Scheme which occured now with the Eye-toy games on the PSN
Pricing games in the us for 1.99 $ and in teh EU for 2.99€ is a more than 220% increase in price instead of the “normal” 50% increase
1.99 $ =1.36€ (or close to it)
why do we have to pay so much more!!!
can we have a refund?
Comment by terrortime — Jan 19, 2008 @ 6:26 am
We pay a bit more in the EU for 2 reasons. Stronger currencys and of course the European Union cunts putting extra taxes on things in the EU.

Brought my PS3 at launch saw Motorstorm and with the promise of Home in the Autumn .Saw the early demo’s of LBP. Wanted the Blu Ray functionality for my nice shiny HDTV it was a no brainer gotta get it now . Didn’t want to miss the boat etc. However after many many many delays, still no Home, no LBP, no MGS4, Singstar took an age and still not what was promised 300+ songs online at launch yeah right?? Looked at this site and saw the promised updates for PSN, Pain, Everyday shooter still no sign of them or scheduled release dates. Where is GT5 prologue? I own all the consoles and have been playing video games since the early eighties I can honestly say that I have never been more disappointed with a console I have brought. Its a very good DVD/Blu Ray player but I didn’t buy it for that. My 360 is now the only console I am regulary playing and looking at the release schedule can’t see any games on the horizon that I will be playing on my PS3 any time soon. Still it looks nice under the telly!
Comment by Mumraa — Jan 19, 2008 @ 10:29 am
a bit more is 50% (since the PS3 pricing of the
1 $= 1 Euro (giving 50% more profit for the same)
way to much more is 220 %
meaning 1$ dollar = 2 Euro for the PSN purchases of the Eyetoy-games,
which only can mean, that we,the EU-regions,pay Sony,so they can lower the prices of everything in the US,instead of EU
anyway another point for the everlasting getting screwed by SCEE
Comment by Terrortime — Jan 19, 2008 @ 12:03 pm
Been waiting for Home, when is it coming to the PS3.. Thought it would be available by now
Comment by James — Jan 19, 2008 @ 1:52 pm
no old school love this month either…
Please, pretty please give us biohazard 1 & 2 !!!
Why dont ya? I know you got em up and running at jp store..
I am certain those two titles will give you a spike in psn activity, we are pretty much starving here..
throw us that bone already!
Comment by Nibbler — Jan 20, 2008 @ 5:37 pm
I finally got around to trying the Turok demo from the US store, and I think the EU store actually benefits by not having it.. What a terrible game. Even The Club was better, and that was shit.
