4. Well, you’ve got to question the timing. It’s hard not to think that this really has something to do with those comments.

   I’m sure they will deny it, but they had got to understand that the world WILL think that the cause was his comments.

5. This won’t have been directly related to those comments, I don’t think they would or could fire their head of worldwide studios like that, but this has obviously been brewing for a while. I expect they always planned to announce it now so it wasn’t the talk of GDC. A serious blow for Sony though, hopefully they get someone really good in his place as things were just starting to get better for the PS3, and the last thing we need is more disruption to the software side of things.

7. I bet he was missing the UK’s stunning weather. Too much sun while living the US obviously got to him.

   It’s quite a shock, as I thought he presented a friendly Sony face, on the PR side of things. We can but hope that his shoes are filled with someone with the same or better humour and tact.

   It would be a shame for Sony to lose ground after making so much headway in the last 6 months.

13. I’m not going to get into legal discussions here, it was just meant as a friendly warning, but statements like “who’s (sic) constant blundering in his handling of PS3 has dragged the Playstation brand to the bottom of the pile” need to be provable for such an opinion to be published.

    I have requested the post to be deleted although I do not think it is libelous.
    Having to backtrack on backwards compatability,rumble contollers, having more than one type of PS3 unit available, 350 songs available at launch of Singstar etc could be interpreted as a blunder.
    The sales figures of PS3 and PS3 software versus the other consoles after the domination of PS1 and PS2 could be interpreted as it being at the bottom of the pile.
    I appreciate your concern so I have requested deletion.
