It’s looking like Gran Turismo morning on Three Speech so here is a link to the first review of the game on Eurogamer. Enjoy.

What about Scots?
Must say I am purchasing the Blu-Ray version of this.
You’ll not be seeing me for a week after purchase

its gran turismo, itl blow u away for the first few weeks, then rapidly become dull as dishwater! gimme burnout anyday for proper adrenaline fuelled racing.
Comment by gareth — Mar 17, 2008 @ 12:14 pm
yeah i’m already out of the honeymoon phase with it. had a go with it at the shitty play.com live thing at the weekend.
time crisis was getting more interest. heck, buzz was getting more interest.

for me the big WOW were the rally segments!

For anyone who *does* still have interest in GT5P, take a look at the quick construction job I did over the weekend in preparation:
http://www.gerbilicious.com/gtSeat (apologies for the not-quite-working-yet layout)
About £40 worth of parts available from your local DIY store for a pretty serviceable setup for mounting the Logitech wheel.
Next step is going to be replacing the whole thing with a simpler but more robust galvanized steel frame, but I needed something I could get hold of quickly in time for the GT5 release.

played the DL demo of Prologue off the Jap store an age ago, played it a couple of times, tutted at the screen tear, got bored ultra quickly, probably due to the dull yet very shiny track, and deleted it. I’m going to have to ignore this title, I’ll either wait another 18months for the full version which will have Rally Stages, totally smooth game engine etc or just enjoy the free DLC enjoyed with Burnout etc.
to summarise…… NEXT.

@ iapetus - that is amazing!!

Im not convinced, just get us the full game.

Prologue has more content than some highly praised full-price games have had in the past, and if you shop around you can pre-order it for just under £18. Sure, it’s massively slimmed down compared to the full GT experience, but go back and look at titles like F355 Challenge on the Dreamcast - a critically acclaimed full price game with one car and ten courses. By my calculation that makes GT5: Prologue about 170 times better value.

@ iapetus!
GT5 pro-LOG. “The real lavatory simulator”.
Comment by reakt — Mar 17, 2008 @ 4:12 pm
reakt: It was a piece of piss to construct too. But I’m not flushed with success - I’m going straight on to my number two project, the galvanised steel version. Hopefully I’m on a (loo) roll here, and don’t get too bogged down in work.
And no, I can’t work ‘urinal’ in, try as I might.

Cling-on to the dream.

No mention of how much better the bundles are for this and the upcoming MGS4 game in other territories, with generous bundles that include 80GB HDD and even the Dual Shock 3 controller as standard.
