With a little over a week to go now until Grand Theft Auto graces our consoles and completely takes over our lives, we’re starting to get a little bit hyped about the game. From now until the game’s launch next Tuesday we’ll be keeping you up to date with all things GTA to make the wait seem a little easier.
Today we’ve got a new batch of screens for you to feast your eyes upon - is it us or does this game seem to look a lot better with every batch of new screens that hit the web?

First
Screens dont look amazing….probably due to the low quality
Cant F*ing wait though

Yeah, looks good, but will it take me away from Warhawk? Can’t wait to explore the city, and even more the multiplayer side. I wonder if that’s going to work as well as it sounds like it should. Anyway, I’m pre-ordered and waiting.
Tick tock, tick tock.
Comment by LordOfRuin — Apr 21, 2008 @ 2:02 pm
@Lord - have you bought the broken mirror update for WarHawk? I haven’t bought it so far as I bought Omega Dawn and that sucked!
Comment by reakt — Apr 21, 2008 @ 2:08 pm
I think rockstar would want us all to hijack the delivery lorries while they are enroute to the shops to ensure we get it, or smash up shop managers cars unless they agree to give it early. In proper GTA fashion!!!!

Can’t wait!

Screens look extremely bland, but i know it’ll be an amazing game.

@LordOfRuin @reakt - I picked up broken mirror and really like it, new map is good, spawning to an APC adds a new edge, the shield and boost are cool - wish I had more time to play. Add me on PSN MrJimmy for a scrap!
GTA will put a stop to all other games, MGO beta might as well shut shop on 29th
Note: id.konami.net is now working - get in !

If I could measure my excitement in cubic feet, the o2 arena full to the brim of my lovely ’special fluid’ would just about cover it.
Comment by BaseballFury — Apr 21, 2008 @ 2:52 pm
@reakt - yeah broken mirror is awesome, really atmospheric, great map options and loads of tactical sniper and binocular action. The central village includes buildings you can climb all over.
And give omega dawn a chance, it’s really grown on me.

i am sticky with excitement at the prospect of this game but my girlfriend already hates me!
everytime the advert comes on with that bouncy tune she kisses her teeth and cusses
Comment by iagdad — Apr 21, 2008 @ 3:16 pm
i think in stills the game will allways look that sad, but in motion it should really rock!

@Reakt and co. , while slightly off topic, I have to say that the new Broken Mirror pack is far better than the Omega Dawn. Ah that’s not fair, the Omega Dawn was brilliant when you had enough people to play in it, and the drop ship can be the winning factor in any game. Anyway, the APC in Broken Mirror really does alter the balance of a game strategy, and is a powerful advantage in the right situation. In my opinion, (and the only one that counts of course), it’s a worthy investment, and really extends the game.
Get it, get in and come find me, so I can call in an airstrike on your ass.
Comment by LordOfRuin — Apr 21, 2008 @ 3:26 pm
Yeah, broken mirror is much better than Omega Dawn, not just the map, and the vehicle, but the new functions too.

I was just about ready with my camera until I realised that the MGO Beta isn’t working. My rod of GTA induced iron has become as robust as a wet flannel, so I’m afraid you’ll have to wait.

I thought this game was an Xbox 360 exclusive?
Comment by Mr Coats — Apr 21, 2008 @ 9:36 pm
So at last, they’ve managed to get it to work on the PS3.
Let’s hope it was worth the delayed launch.
Comment by Zed Zee — Apr 22, 2008 @ 9:36 pm
It’s not a Microsoft exclusive, although by watching the advert you could be forgiven for thinking it is. Only the 360 is mentioned. I wonder how much Microsoft paid for that…
