9. Half that content is not on the New Zeland store. Oh well, 90% of that content is the Americans stores left overs as they have been out for weeks or in the cas eof the timeshift vidoes MONTHS.

    Why aren’t the new COD4 maps out in the Italian PS Store, as was announced, while they are out in the UK and the German PS Stores? Do you think we Italians are second-class EU citizens? Do our euros stink?

    It would be acceptable if they had been out in the US Store but not in other European Stores, this way it’s totally unacceptable!

    With complaints from users about slow responses and icons taking a long time to load, to the updates not improving from before ‘the big site upgrade’, it looks like Sony has completely messed things up.

39. Speaking of PSOne games working on PSP… does anyone know if we’ll have the ability to ‘copy’ the PSOne game off the CD-Rom onto the PS3, then port it over to the PSP?

    I’ve got Hogs Of War, Front Mission 3, Space Invaders etc. on PSOne, but can’t figure out a way of copying the game onto the PS3 or PSP…. it’d be cool if I could!

45. I think people are complaining about the fact that we hear about all these awesome developments for the PS3 but they don’t seem to reach Europe for ages! It isn’t just the downloadable content, it’s DualShock3, It’s Home, it’s PlayTV… Everything seems to get delayed so much.

    @ThreeSpeech, I know it seems like every post that goes up on this website gets tons of negative comments but you have to realise, which I’m sure you do already, that you are the most visible face of SCEE that we have to voice our frustrations.

    So thankyou for actually putting yourself out there but ANYONE who claims to be able to talk to SCEE are going to get a lot of negative comments that we want you to pass onto them.

46. WTF?! Command and Conquer?! I’ve never been this excited about a PSN update since… never (and probably will never be again). Gonna have to grab that! Wonder if it has all the same cool music that the PC version had.

    But on second thoughts, installing this onto my PSP is going to invalidate the licenses of the PSP titles I purchased from the Japan store (I owned my PS3 while living in Japan and brought it with me when I moved to the UK, so suck it up Sony), which is a pain, so I think I will pass thanks to that retarded DRM. Sure I can revalidate when I want to transfer my Japanese titles over but who knows how many times the DRM will allow that (and whether a future rule won’t be applied). Looks like I am playing the PC version on my EEE PC instead.. Ho Hum.

    My Japanese mother-in-law is bringing me a dual shock 3 with her in a few weeks so at least I don’t have to wait… and wait… and wait for SCEE to pull their digits out of their rectums.

47. This is a good update and I’ve only downloaded Rocketmen: Axis of Evil demo. But there is enough variety to please lots of people. I’m sure those with CoD4 are happy to get new maps, just like when I am when Motorstorm gets new tracks.

    I really can’t stand the appalling, spoilt-brat behaviour of some of the juvenile delinquent people on this site. You really need to grow up some of you. You’re getting a FREE service, Sony are as far as I am aware, under no obligation by law to provide you with this service, and yet when they do provide content that you throw it back at them.

    Do you complain so vehemently when say ITV or Channel 4 decide to put on certain TV programs on a certain day which you just don’t happen to like? There may be plenty of people in the country that do happen to like these TV programs (supplied free to us) but they can’t be expected to produce or show programs that every single person likes every single minute of every day? I don’t like all these X-Factor-esque TV programs that seem to be polluting our airwaves every five minutes, but I don’t go off on some rant start calling ITV every name under the sun and calling all their programs rubbish. Neither would I stoop so low as to start a petition to demand that ITV (who I repeat I pay nothing to - the licence fee is for the BBC, remember) start showing the content I want.

    There are more important issues in the world to start complaining about than losing ones rag over a FREE service (bank charges, mortgage rates, fuel prices to name but a few).

    Grow up children - some of you should really be ashamed of what you post in public.

    but you have to admit that SCEE seems to be a considerable amount worse than SCEA.
    also i still dont understand why sony always dates releases of games that they are never going to achieve, if they were to have stated that HOME for example was comming out winter 2008 from the beggining then no one would complain. and if they manage to get it completed early they would have recieved positive comments,,, maybe.
    i dont think that its just the updates that people are upset about its the whole lot, delays delays, delays, europe not loved.
    oh and yes there are certainly idiots on this site which just love to bitch,, ignore them,, sony does!

    I wouldn’t know! They may be, but I’m not American so why should I have anything to do with the US side of things? I have no knowledge of any experience with SCEA. I don’t have foreign PSN accounts like some people do.

    It doesn’t bother me that one country receives something a few weeks before we do. Sony still provide me (and many others) with a top notch system that I enjoy regularly. I don’t care for or indeed know about many release dates. I’m not the sort of person (like many others) that feels they have to have something on a particular day or feel annoyed that it may come out later than somewhere else.

    Maybe the solution to all this is if Sony just didn’t tell people what they had planned for the PSN at any point in time, so that when the content appears, it won’t be such a disappointment to those that were expecting something else.

    As for the point about TV companies, well they do change schedules and programs. Take Pushing Daisies on ITV. Episode 2 wasn’t shown in the UK because ITV want the series to end the week before the European Championships. My wife was quite annoyed about this as she likes the program, but did she start ranting and raving, using all sorts of foul and abusive language on public forums aimed at ITV? No is the answer. She could have complained and been well within her rights to complain and, believe me, I am all for complaining when it is justified. But nothing instant could ever have come from the complaint, certainly no compensation like what certain people on this forum expect to get, except that ITV may have listened and taken on board her concerns and if the level of constructive feedback they got as a result of these complaints was high enough, then in future they would learn from it.

    But on this site and anything to do with the PS3 or Sony, as soon as people are upset and angry about something, they resort to playground name calling. Do you think comments like that can ever be taken seriously!? No. So perhaps if people just learned to grow up and express their concerns with more maturity and directed it through the proper channels then perhaps a more positive outcome will come and will come quicker.

    But the one thing I don’t want to happen is Sony turn around and saying to us that the only way we’re going to get the content that the minority demand, and the frequency to which they demand it, is if we pay for it. I love the PSN for what it is - a free service and I don’t want it to change.

54. Usual few late items for us that have been available in the US for ages.

    Meanwhile the US store has actual NEW content.

    I’m giving up complaining here. No one at SCEE is listening. Threespeech have been shown (through no fault of their own) to be nothing more than the PR people they were hired to be.

    Then there are the usual people here and on other sites who don’t get the point and continue defending the poor defenseless multinational corporation and we’re getting nowehere.

    As for the Dualshock 3. In January I decided not to be beholden to Sony’s attitude towards europe and imported it from Canada and I would urge anyone else to do the same. Despite international shipping etc I’ve got it sooner than waiting for the SCEE drip feed and I’ve probably saved money in the process.

    I’m applying the same policy to the PSN store with any title that comes out in the US first (with exception of account and/or region locked content).

    I urge anyone else to do the same, don’t waste time with petitions, campaigns, moaning here etc. And this isn’t to “hit them in the wallet” as I may have previously suggested. I don’t think there are enough of us to make a difference that way.

    I just want to get the content I want, when I want and for the best price. If SCEE manage that then cool, in the meantime, will see you back here if they account/region lock the US content!

    First of all you have to understand that a lot of the inappropriate comments that are made, maybe made by younger members acting as young people do.
    Secondly if it is so offensive to you don’t read it.
    I agree that most of the complaints are a bit harsh and I also agree that some of it is unjustified, but rather than get upset about it take it with a pinch of salt.
    please don’t try and tell me that ITV are even in the same ball park as Sony when it comes to delays, cause that is just,,,, well you know.
    Oh and yes, if you have ever seen points of view that was on tele, you would know that people complain about every and anything.

    Although you may not check what is released when and where, other people do! and like me, they like to know when their favourite game is coming, and we get all excited about it, then when the games come out in other parts of the world and then take months to reach us in Europe they are upset about it, we want to ascertain why that is, only to find out that any questions that we might put forward will most definitely be ignored with no form of explanation.
    People are entitled to post what they like, otherwise there would be rules about it, (that includes you).
    Rather complain about what other people complain about (Like me)lol. Make a comment about the thread.

    That’s the problem right there,,, the promises that are never kept, DON’T say a game or service is going to do this and that and that it is going to be the best thing since slice bread and have all these great features, bla bla. Then when it arrives all of that is missing.
    I love my ps3 but I’m the first person to point out that SCEE have got serious customer service issues.
