After our slightly embarrassing tennis display, Three Speech managed to corner some bona fide tennis stars in Gael Monfils and James Blake to quiz them about their involvement in the game.
Three Speech: What do you think of the game, fellas?
Gael Montfils: It’s very good, because I beat everybody good!
TS: What do you reckon to your likenesses in the game?
James Blake: I never think of myself that way [as a video game hero] and so every time I see it it’s still weird, and when I hear kids say that they’ve played as me and I’m really good in the videogame, I can’t believe they get that opportunity.
TS: Do you play videogames much?
GM: I have a PlayStation 3, I really like it.
TS: Do you ever miss training playing it?
GM: [Laughs} Yes!
TS: What do you think is unique about your playing style and how does it translate to the game?
JB: For me, I think I’d say my enthusiasm. I’m out on the court and I’m trying to make sure I’m having fun. I’m a competitor so I want to win every time I go out there but I also wanna make sure I show the fans I’m having a good time. So if they can capture that it’ll be a pretty impressive game.
TS: How does it feel being able to match yourself up with all-time legends like Boris Becker?
JB: Me and Boris? I don’t think on grass I’d do too well, maybe on clay, but it’ll be a lot of fun to see! It’ll be something to compare generations too because there wasn’t always the same kind of physical aspects or technology back then, but with his ability I think it would translate well.
TS: Do you have any tips for people playing the game?
JB: In the game I wasn’t that great, so they could probably help me more than I can help them!

I cannot believe that this game has been released without a friends list invite system! This is dreadful!
How can this game fall down on such a basic function when it delivers on so many others?
