Earlier in the week we asked you to tell us which PlayStation games had your favourite cover and box artwork. We’ve got a poll to decide the winner from the nominees that you put forward, but if you feel an unjust omission has been made, let us know…

Aside from my previous suggestion of “WET” that, it would seem, I am in a moist minority of one with licking… sorry, liking, perhaps it would be an idea to embed the images of each of the inlay sleeves/box-art so we can compare side-by-side.
Also, it would clarify if we are voting on, for example, the fugly US “MotorStorm” cover, or the much superior UK one

Not long after I bought my PS2 I spotted ICO in a shop and immediately grabbed it. I’d never heard of the game before, but the box art addressed itself directly to me, and I knew I just had to have the game. As of today, I’ve never played a game so intense and with such an enchanting atmosphere. Well, perhaps DOOM - Hell on Earth, but that was a long time ago =). Anyway, when SOTC came, I got that too. It’s also an amazing game, but I only got it because I knew it was connected to ICO. ICO I bought because of the box art alone. There’s my vote.

You know I should really pay more attention to boxart, someone puts in a lot of effort in making a game look good, but it’s not something I really pay attention to given I normally preorder over the internet for games I want!
I must say though, in general I prefer the look of most UK boxart compared to the US - Motorstorm and ICO being examples along with MGS4 and others.
Out of that list I’m voting for ICO, I’ve never played the game but it’s the only one out of the list that I could remember seeing in a shop, I was very very close to buying that game purely based on seeing the cardboard box art. In the end I gave it a miss as I hadn’t heard of the game at the time.
The US box art for ICO is hideous BTW, you can see both versions of the cover on it’s Wikipedia page…

The Ico boxart nearly stopped my purchase, it looks so…. dull. Bought it, loved it, there you go.

“Box Art” at SCRAWL… including the artwork for “God of War III”…

Looks like “PixelJunk(tm) Eden”, or “Flow”, may have influenced the artist responsible for the box art for “MotorStorm Pacific Rift”…

…I much prefer the US box art for the same title:
