Graphically it looks pretty weak for a PS3 game. It’s definitely not in the same league as MGS4 or COD4.

@1, Socom has never been about the graphics. Although I don’t think these shots look too bad. And graphics are always the last thing to be finished off in game development
The Socom series on the Ps2 had pretty appalling graphics compared to other titles. Still my most played game of all time however.

I think this looks great. Never played a SOCOM game before, but I’m definitely interested in this.
Does it look better than MGS4? Well, it’s a different style, so it’s hard to tell. MGS4 is excellent for the most part, but there are a few very weak textures in there also - in particular, some of the doors look terrible if you get too close to them - almost like PS2 textures.

At the first post. The graphics are actually better than COD4. Its been compared on US SOCOM boards. However it won’t be better than MGS4 graphically.

@1: I’ve seen the game in motion, looks awesome

Textures look ‘cardbordy’ to me. Let’s hope its on-line element does not have the same problems as the recent MGO Gene pack, which does not seem to have a solution in sight…
Oh dear, PS3…What have they done to you?
