Interest in Hydrophobia seems to be growing quickly. If you’re curious to see what the giant ship in which the game is set looks like on the outside, head over to PS3 Attitude where they’ve got some shots. It’s a pretty good looking boat, just marginally smaller than the Three Speech yacht…

Those are actually old screenshots from last year which are not representative of what the game is now.

…well, yes, the title was scheduled for a “Q2 2008″ release date according to the site I quoted.
I just thought it might give an idea of what to expect with regards the game-play interaction with the environment.
Are you part of the development team, katamari-ball?

If he is then i’m selling my soul to him just to get into the office and see it in action currently - realistic fluid dynamic sims give me a trouser cucumber!

Not dev team no but I know a bunch of them really well. Let’s just say, stills don’t do the hydroengine justice. But don’t think this is a game purely based off the tech. The story is being worked on just as hard.

Oh and I 2nd that about the MS2 demo. Its basically MS1 but with a faster title screen. Shame really because I wanted to like it. Admittedly I’ve only played one level so the others maybe be more exciting.

There’s a ThreeSpeech yacht!? Awesome.
Comment by Rob Hewson — Sep 16, 2008 @ 6:19 pm
@Rob
My plan is to hijack this yacht, place some baddies on it, knock it into the sea and then fight my way out in slow-mo to the surface
Comment by JohnSketch — Sep 17, 2008 @ 7:52 am
@JohnSketch: Excellent plan! Now that’s what I call research.
