LittleBigPlanet is now so close you can almost taste it. Not long now folks…
We know you’re hungry for the real thing, but while you’re waiting have a look at D+PAD’s review. What do they think?
‘If it were a film it would be one of the most joyous, feel-good movies ever created.’
Head over to D+PAD to check out the rest of the article…
Will do, really looking forward to LBP.

roll on next friday!!! the beta was soo much fun, i just wonder if i’ll be able to load my levels back into the full game when it hits. i spent more time in the LBP beta than i have with several full release games, so i guess that sums up just how enjoyable it is. it’s not just the story mode, but the whole create. play. share deal too.
a breath of joyous, fresh, fun, make your inner child smile air in the dark stagnant cliched pool of FPS and driving games.
Valkyria Chronicles is pretty special too. i was almost ready to give up on the games industry and these bright gems come through.

As a note - had a go on Endwar lastnight…
Fear1 : Voice recognition would be monumentally bad
Conclusion: not so! very acceptable level of accuracy.
Fear2: Unable to micromanage units
Conclusion: “enter unhappy smiley” - the most control i was able to get out of units through voice command was to send them to the in-game checkpoints and bunkers…closest i got to moving them about to my liking was having them attack enemies throughout the map.
Fear3: game living up to world war 3 hype
Conclusion: the scale and style of the battle (bear in mind this was the first level only) was a bit poor in my opinion, only a handful (7/8 or so) different units could be under my command in total and whenever ordered to attack a target the results were just…poor…explosions - nope, buildings degrading when attacked…nope….Had the feeling that the enemy units and buildings were just spunging up my attacks and would only show signs of fatigue once destroyed!
Ah well…

@Mobiletone,
Media Molecule have stated that levels and objects from the Beta that were ‘Published’ will be available to play again in the full game, minus a few that included rude things etc.
Really is one of the most fun games I’ve played for years, especially in co-op mode.

LBP is one of those games that will be either a killer app or a total flop. I’m hoping for the former, as every video on the PSN store is very fun (the “two sack-people making love” joke was great), and the gameplay seems very fresh.

LBP ftw!!!
cant wait, had the beta and was hooked! cant wait to release my series of levels im working on, although i was not aware that i could transfer them to the full game so i only completed the templates on paper and haven’t starting building yet.

LBP has a current Metacritic score of 96 - with no review yet under 90!
Finally a game that lives up to the hype!!!

@johnsketch
so would you say that there is a possibility that the full release can live up to a proper RTS game?

@ Robothamster - phew! i published my completed levels, 3 in total. one football kick about (a bit poor but looked good) a chopper rescue game (find the 12 virgin brides!), and baja buggy race (fun) shame my area 51 test zone will be lost though, that was full of weird experiments

@manley
it was fun, but “large scale” it was not, online multiplayer was alot of fuin and the voice recog is very accurate to what it spoken.
It basically suffers from the age old issue that most RTS suffer from at one stage or another - increase the user-friendliness and you get a decrease in complexity and options (micromanagement).
Never more than 1/2 button presses every 30 seconds or so, mostly a look, speak and wait…look speak wait…press button….move unit wait…

@johnsketch
Cheers, I thought as much. Shame really, and its not like it can’t be done, I played the original C&C on my ps1 and although it was not quite as good as on a pc it was good enough. i really need a good RTS game on my ps3. And just when I thought that my dreams had come true with red alert 3 it was cancelled/postponed.
