SERIOUSLY??
i think you’re getting a bit desperate now TS.

WAY TO GO RUSS!!!!!
Your pink rocket car had me rolling on the floor.. especially when GForce killed me over and over!
Comment by Tony — Nov 17, 2008 @ 6:53 pm
I agree - there are so many good levels on there, how come this one gets showcased?
Then again why not check out Azure Palace or World of Colour? Oh no, wait - they’ve been moderated without any reason being given!
Much like videos on SingStar, when I had a video of mine featured in the official SingStar newsletter, only for it to be taken down a week later without any warning (and 3 months after it was originally posted).
Killing your own game, Sony.
If you’re so worried about copyright infringement, why not wait and see who will go to court first?
Because I cant see how a company would be so upset at having their product or trademark placed in such a hugely popular game, for free.
Besides, its parody.

Is anyone else getting a bit fed up of LBP being plastered EVERYWHERE and mentioned ALL THE TIME? It’s good, we get it. Back to the news please.
Comment by BaseballFury — Nov 17, 2008 @ 7:17 pm
Are you serious? If you want something amazing, try searching for World of Light by Dragnet. It’s FANTASTIC, brilliant use of lights, it really needs more attention. Shame all the good levels drop off the map while rubbish like this sits at the top because OMG ITS AWESOME COZ IM GOIN FAST!!! Give me a break…

Azure Palace is dead. sad smile face
Azure Palace’s creator is understandably pissed about the whole thing, posting his email to Media Molecule in a GameFaqs forum. He defies someone to show how the level violated the terms of service and, frankly, I do too.
Comment by mobiletone — Nov 17, 2008 @ 9:17 pm
Supposedly Azure Palace is back mobiletone.
Comment by john — Nov 17, 2008 @ 10:56 pm
Look like Sony has struk again and modded this level out of existance
Comment by Carl — Nov 17, 2008 @ 11:12 pm
The sheer hypocricy of SONYs moderation policies and disastrous communication strategy is spreading: Threespeech does not mention the most important piece of news for the LBP community: Perfectly good levels get taken down from Little Big Planet without any reason at all. SONY is frustrating its user community Big Time at Rocket Speed and NO COMMUNICATION!!! - what is this Eastern Europe in the Cold War or something? Seriously SONY, how many comms specialists have you got inside the walls and what the hell are they spending their time on?
Tell us what is going on! Please!!!

Give a try at a level named Sabana Race, there’re also prizes.
Comment by David — Nov 18, 2008 @ 8:22 am
Seriously I’m so tired of those dumb “vehicles” levels such as this one or the “musical” ones… all the community seems to loves thoses, but they are so boring… Does anyone has played the game before creating levels ? they didnt see all the possibilities ??
This game is so beautiful, I can’t explain how sad this is to browse the online community… I hope the quality will improve with time… and maybe imagination.
Please don’t advertise about those poor levels…
regards

I’m glad I came to this site as I’ve just realised that LittleBigPlanet has finally been released in the UK! [this is sarcasm] If I hadn’t come to ThreeSpeech I wouldn’t have noticed as I’ve not seen a single TV advert and seen only one advert in a newspaper…
After hyping this game for so long it’s a major disappointment that Sony have chosen not to advertise this game outside of the normal gamer’s arena. Heck, I was away with work on the day of release so the next morning rang up my local game store and asked if they had any copies left. The salesman laughed, yes, he actually laughed, and said “Yes, loads of copies.”. Sure enough they had tonnes left and told me that it was doing “OK”.
Oh Sony, why is your marketing department performing worse than my chocolate teapot?
Comment by Amphlett — Nov 18, 2008 @ 9:00 am
@Carl, Christian, did you see my comment, it’s back online.
So all that happens was that it was reported (remember MM or Sony don’t moderate them unless someone has reported it), so they have to take it off while they investigate, that takes a while, then it comes back up. It will be the same with the others. And as long as there are idiots on the internet this will have to continue.
The only thing they are letting themselves down with are communication.
Comment by John — Nov 18, 2008 @ 9:49 am
I don’t think this level is worth a play, much too quick and there is no team fun to be had.
Comment by thaiboy77 — Nov 18, 2008 @ 9:58 am
AZURE PALACE IS BACK ONLINE EVERYONE!!!!!
Stop making such a big deal over practically nothing. A level is reported Sony MUST remove it to review and decide whether it goes back on or not. You don’t want your level removed, then use no branding or violence. Simple really.
This Rocket Car level is a rip off of another one that was on the Beta on the 2nd day I played, Rollercoaster, and that was FAR better.
If you want to play some good levels try ‘Tank Attack’ and Backyard bike Race’ by me!!!
(shameless plug)

“Last week’s leader, Gears of War 2, falls to four - the spot previously held by Sony’s system seller, LittleBigPlanet. That game, unfortunately, tumbled all the way down to 19. Oh dear.”
- Eurogamer (http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=308005).
Oh dear, indeed.
Comment by Zed Zee — Nov 18, 2008 @ 10:50 am
Really sad to see that Azure Palace has been removed. I’ve played that level and thought it was superb, probably the best user-generated one I’ve played to date. It was also one of the most original, and a great use of jetpacks!
I can honestly think of no reason why it would have been moderated. I would have maybe thought because of the blood-stains at the beginning of the level, but the same technique is also used in one of MM’s own story levels, so that can’t be the reason!
Very poor decision, Sony should focus their moderation on blatant ripoffs, offensive levels and spam “play my level” comments and leave creative and original levels like this one alone.
Azure Palace should be used as a beacon of what user-generated levels should be aiming for not as a subject of the now infamous “Moderation”…
Comment by Apnomis — Nov 18, 2008 @ 11:00 am
meh, Surely that’s the first thing we all made in LBP? two wheels and a rocket. The first time you roll it and end upside down you stick a roof and more wheels on it?
I think a competition is in order…
Comment by lxd — Nov 18, 2008 @ 12:07 pm
@ Robothamster - You don’t want your level removed, then use no branding or violence. Simple really….? doesn’t explain jack as to why so many are being removed. my levels had no violence or copyright or branding issues, they still got moderated out of existence though.
two weeks since i last played LBP, one since i sold it and i’m still narked at it. jeez.
Comment by mobiletone — Nov 18, 2008 @ 1:06 pm
@ Tone,
So many are being removed? about 400 of 84000 hardly constitutes ’so many’ surely?
And many of the ones that are’ removed’ such as Azure Palace came back after they were inspected by MM and deemed ok. Do you people read follow on stories from the rumour monger s##t stirring sites you find the original blown out of proportion news from???
Maybe they moderated your levels Mobiletone because they’ve seen you bad mouthing their game all over the web hmm???
Comment by Robothamster — Nov 18, 2008 @ 4:52 pm
WTH? that’s a lame level, not an exellent one. Go play Azure Palace or World of Color or something real
Rocket cars are so last-week
Comment by Inzoum — Nov 19, 2008 @ 11:54 am
@ robothamster - i didn’t ‘bad mouth’ them until they pulled my levels
