Not the best update ever. But enjoying the LBP DLC.

Maybe you could start doing the updates for the stores in playstation home?

Not too shabby, but are we Europeans ever going to get Penny Arcade Adventure: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness?
The US Store just got Episode 2 and Episode 1 still hasn’t shown any sign of life on our side of the coast.
I know this is probably due to localization delays and stuff, but I don’t even WANT my stuff to be localized, I’d rather have everything in English… heck, why can’t we pick our language? I live in Belgium, in the french part, so all my content is in French, but had I been living in the dutch part, I’d be forced to download my stuff in Dutch when I don’t understand a single word of it? Unacceptable!
Sony really needs to allow us to pick our content’s language, and unify the different european stores behind that. I’d rather have everything in English than put up with a localized version I never asked for, needed, or chose.

Best update in a long while. Can’t wait to get Soldner X this evening.
@3: This is nothing to do with localization delays, and I’d go as far as to strongly imply Sony are lying through their teeth if they claim it is. No localization issues with the XBox 360 version of the game, which I’ve had since day one.

Good update overall. But where is Street Fighter 2 HD Remix!!!!
Also, some of the pricing sucks. I’m planning to get Buzz! Brain Bender, but why does it cost more for a download version than for me to by in overpriced Irish stores, never mind buying from internet stores.

@5
I heard on a forum that the issue with SSF2HD Remix is that, due to SCEEs stricter submission process and bug checking they’ve delayed it until the netcode is up to scratch. You may have read how the matchmaking for the PS3 version is pretty bad (I remember someone saying they got into a match 2 times out of 50!). Until Capcom issue an update SCEE are sitting on it. So blame Capcom for releasing a game with network code not up to it and not SCEE!
Even I agree thats a first. The difficulty is for SCEE that they can’t tell us because it’ll look bad on SCEA for releasing a game with buggy netcode.

Singstar has it’s own store, because it’s constantly updated with content that isn’t relative to anyone that doesn’t own Singstar. It’s a better method than releasing content over the PSN store, as people download through the game, straight into the game, without any need to download and install then reboot the game. Home takes a similar path with it’s clothes/furniture shops.
If LBP, Guitar Hero and Rock Band were to follow suit and stop flooding the PSN with content that isn’t relative to people that don’t own LBP, Guitar Hero or Rock Band, these updates would be poor. As the only thing that’s changed recently to make these updates look bigger, is the release of game specific content that would be better released through in-game “stores”.
The PSN, as far as I’m concerned, should be used for games, demos, themes and trailers. Not game specific add-ons.

Apparently a new LBP just released adds an in-game store to it

Decent update, but no Street Fighter HD? So nearly bought it last week on 360, but just ended up playing the demo (again). The sony d-pad has me at a ransom
Also not realised Rain Slick… of
Darkness Part 1 has never made it to the Pal store. Didn’t look out for it, as it was on 360 a few months before it even came on US Psn (Ps3 development problems)
& yet SCEE has took so long the sequels out *shakes head*

PS3Fanboy reports…
“PAIN is the most downloaded game on PSN in 2008″
—
Posted Dec 19th 2008 1:00PM by Andrew Yoon
The latest episode of Pulse reveals the top PSN game downloads of 2008. At the top of the list is Idol Minds’ PAIN. This isn’t too surprising, considering it was included for free with the Metal Gear Solid 4 PS3 bundle earlier this year. However, we’re surprised to see how well High Velocity Bowling has done. Other surprises include Aquatopia and High Stakes Poker.
Do you think the top 10 list is missing any games? We certainly think so. Where’s WipEout HD? Although it’s a PSP remake, we think it’s an incredible value.
Here’s the list…
1. Pain
2. High Velocity Bowling
3. Super Stardust HD
4. PixelJunk Monsters
5. Flow
6. Warhawk
7. Aquatopia
8. Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection
9. High Stakes Poker Edition
10. Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty

What of…
“Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3″?
“Rocketmen: Axis of Evil”?
“Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle Cars”? [or just "Soc-car" if you prefer]
Oh yeah… silly me… too much egg nog!
BFN,

Wow Buzz for STG 20 and euro 30, wonder where the extra 8 euro is going ???
Comment by Sneachta — Dec 20, 2008 @ 7:38 pm
Another week goes by and Europe still does not have Street Fighter II HD on the PSN. Why is this taking so long?!
Whilst I am in a complaining sort of mood I would also like to ask why it is that there are so few demos of PSN games. Soldner-X and Crash Commando both look like they could be good, but I would like to try them out first. Is that really too much to ask?
