3. TBH i don’t think the Sega MegaDrive Collection UMD has been taken out of my PSP in months… nice bold bright graphics, plenty of games to choose from on the disc. total old school goodness.

5. totally off topic:-

   According one analyst, Electronic Arts may be primed for more cutbacks in the wake of weaker than expected sales for a trio of new releases, including Rock Band 2 and Mirror’s Edge.

   Lazard Capital Markets analyst Colin Sebastian points to the tepid performance of those two titles and Need For Speed Undercover for his estimated drop in quarterly earnings of some $70 million, according to a report from Gamasutra. Stronger sales of titles like Left 4 Dead and Dead Space will help, but expects EA to add to the cuts it made in October.

   well, well, they bring out a game thats practically the same as the first (Rock Band) and wonder why it doesn’t sell, Mirrors Edge was always going to be a niche release, like LBP, so will probably have a dedicated but small core audience, and NFS:U was just cheap and nasty compared to the genius of the new Midnight Club.

   hopefully this will shake things up a bit.

6. total sales to 28th Nov:

   Mirror’s Edge 149,472 (ouch! still a top rental title)
   Rock Band 2 234,005
   Need for Speed: U 358,149 (4th best selling PS3 title that week!!)

   and prediction that w/e 6th Dec LBP broke 1,000,000 sales finally.

   but the above ‘poor’ three sales figures are pretty much
   in line with any other PS3 game released lately.

7. Since buying my PS3 I rarely switch on any of my PSP consoles now (of which I have a few), but when I do I still find enjoyment playing the “Snoopy vs The Red Baron” title I imported from the US two years ago.

   I still have not seen it for sale in the UK!?!

   Also worthy of handheld screen-time is “Asterix & Obelix XXL 2″, “Burnout Legends”, and, of course, “Tekken Dark Resurrection”.

   “Chili Con Carnage” is also a decent shooter title… that doesn’t take itself seriously.
