Of course, what with 2008 being almost over, it means that 2009 is almost upon us. So far it’s shaping up to be a vintage year for the PS3, with some really exceptional looking titles on the cards. We’ve got an article coming up which looks at the year to come but, once again, we want to know what game is at the top of your list for next year. It’s got to be Killzone. I wasn’t excited for killzone till I finished the downloadable chapter of Liberation. Then my old clan leader got in the beta and he says it is the best online game he has ever played. Since I was such a huge fan of online in Liberation (Reached the top 10 on the US leader board) I am very excited for the upcoming release.

I’m most looking forward to Final Fantasy X on PS3. Along with my other PS2 games.
Beyond that I’m sure Uncharted 2 will be decent unlike the rest of the list.

KZ2, too easy.
and Gran Turismo 5, 2009? even Polyphony Digital has said it won’t be here until probably early 2010 and that in 2009 we’ll get a bunch of updates for Prologue instead.
and is it just my download or is the gearing for the Lotus Evora set way too high? 270mph standard!? c’mon, seriously! even after i geared it down to minimum it still pulls too slow.

The one game that would be on the top of my list if it existed would be Shenmue 3 or a new Jet Set Radio “that” would light my pants on fire…
Pity Sega have announced nothing, but heres hoping to a big E3 09 (if its still on next year) unveiling…

Killzone 2, I missed out on the first one but love Liberation. Seeing as SOCOM has disappeared (for us EU bods) I’m looking forward to blasting holy hell outta stuff in KZ2!

Gone for KZ2 as well, but worried the gushing praise is as misdirected as with previous titles.
Also just been hearing some more details about heavy rain and that shows some real promise.
Here’s hoping 2009 will be the year the top titles achieve their potential. Oh and we also get some great “out of nowhere” titles too.

None of these on the list.. I’m looking forward to Flower at the moment. And I’m hoping that FFXIII will really be done in December (as suggested by Amazon), but I’m not counting on it. AC2, God of War3 and ratchet and clank(this fall even) were all rumored to come out this year so where are those or did those become US-only games?

KillZone™2 all the way for me. I loved the first Killzone and still play that lil gem every 2weeks round a friends house, and i was lucky to get the online beta of KZ2 to play with too, and even luckier still to be at the Vue Cinema for the Champagne, canapés/vodka/ and 12(?) screens with playable levels of preview code of KillZone™2(did i mention KillZone™2 enough?).

Hard to decide between Uncharted 2, Gran Turismo 5 and Killzone 2.
Then reality hit. A new GT game?! That’s always awesome, as great as the other games are.

I guess you guys have no confidence in Final Fantasy making next year then… as it would have been the obvious winner.
For me then RE5 is the top choice, followed by White Knight Chronicles (quite what this one was missing from the list but a B level title like Red Faction was on there is beyond me).
I hope for all you Killzone lovers you get what you’re hoping for, as Guerilla do not have a good track record as a supposedly AAA developer. Remember Lair? That had nice graphics too.
