We have another inFamous video here, this time to show you how a mission can play out. Here we see Cole use his sinister red positronic power to thwart an attack. Important things to note are the general darkness in tone (bad karma?!) and the awesome way in which he skates across telephone lines.

The crowd animation of them running away, looks a tad average, but Cole himself moves very well.

Is it me or am I the only one not that bothered about this title? I dunno….there just seems to be, a lack of appeal to me…nothing that special gameplay wise or graphically

The voice acting is terrible.

Looks a bit ’samey’ to me. Prototype looks a bit more varied out of the 2 sandbox type games….

@ BlueGene : I disagree. I think the Protoype just looks like the HULK game, but re-skinned. So Prototype seems to be more super heroish, meaning, very few or no consequences to your actions, while inFamous seems to bring in more moral choice and there definitely is a consequence to how you behave in the city.
I agree that the voice acting is poor. One can only hope that those are place holder samples until the the final game comes out. They still have 3 months ( I think ).

Out of the two I think I’ll get inFamous, not only for the fact it is exclusive and will probably utilise the PS3 better, but also because I like the visual style used in inFamous and also how they’ve limited his abilities to just Electricity and given him specific weaknesses (like blacked out areas of the City). Prototype seems to be more stealthy and ’serious’ and the graphics style focuses heavily on gore and blood. I just think inFamous looks a bit more ‘fun’ for a sandbox game.
From the video I think it looks quite impressive for an open world sandbox title - compare the graphics to GTA IV for example and inFamous looks miles better. Also note the grim cracked streets, grey sky, burnt out skies, boarded up buildings etc - this is a side-effect of playing as the ‘red lightning’ anti-hero. From what I’ve read the city takes on a different complexion when playing as the good hero with blue lightning.
I personally have high hopes that inFamous will be a lot of fun, I’m also encouraged by the reports from GDC that say the controls on it are really good and it plays really well…
