The fixtures, fittings and furniture that adorn the Three Speech headquarters have been truly tested during the last couple of days, after we received our pair of wireless SingStar microphones and embarked on a long session of leaping from sofa, to desk, to filling cabinet…
The build quality of the mics is really good. Their thin simplistic design is both lighter and sleeker than the older wired versions - looking closer to the sort of equipment you’d see someone on Later with Jools Holland using, all of which helps to add further authenticity to your performance! They take just a couple of AA batteries, while the wireless receiver itself just runs from the power of the PS3 (as well as the PS2).
The lack of wiring (not to mention the new voice command feature) makes SingStar feel even less like a video game and you even more like a star.
Now, if we could only get down off this desk…
I don’t suppose you had your PS Eye switched on to record any of your furniture leaping exploits did you TS? That would be a funny Friday afternoon video to watch!!!

too bad about the batteries - I’ve been hoping for rechargable mics since PS3 controllers are rechargable. I think I’ll be putting up with my wired mics for a while longer…

@t3rrort!m3
Are you still bleating on about this pro-missed crap? Why have a PS3 if your feeling so let down? Whiners like you do my head in. Read the article on Eurogamer about why the mics took so long.
