Would be nice if companies did this more often, One of the biggest incentives, at least for myself, in being attracted to a game - the quality of the art work and concept sketches.
Oh and adding to my first post ^^ really am very impressed by the development of threespeech as a creative tool and delivery method for the things we consumers never get to see. Keep it up
Very impressive, Heavenly Sword truly is looking like a groundbreaking title, and the saving grace - Sony only! I agree with JohnSketch, not only hsould ThreeSpeech showcase this developmental art it hsould be made available through the PSN.
The way i see it is if you loved the demo ull like the game if you didnt you wont..personally i loved the demo and the combat. Shame its getting a roasting i believe Edge gave it a 6/10 - pretty poor for a supposed system shifter..oh well
Being honest thought, the biggest attraction for myself towards heavenly sword is the storyline and art style - albeit i enjoyed the demo.
Being spoilt with games such as the longest journey or metal gear - games that provide an overwhelming backdrop of plots and story arcs are what keep me coming back.
You believe more in what your accomplishing in-game if you identify with the characters and the plight they may be in.
Would it be possible for ThreeSpeech to find out “exactly”, what tools have gone into the art work for Heavenly Sword?
And without bugging Ninja Theory too much, possibly acquire more concept sketches and character pieces? even to just email to myself or upload in this same thread.
All this great work and they forgot about the gameplay. If they do make a squeal to HS I hope they do a better job. God of War is an excellent example, you do the same stuff over and over again but the battles never get boring. HS with it’s 3 combat styles, which are really cool, seems to mess up the structure of the game. :’(
Oh and I don’t know why the reviewers complain about the lack of a block button, she auto-blocks for you ppl what’s wrong with that?
it’s too early to judge just how the game will play. the demo was fun, but short. don’t believe everything you read. I don’t see how they can say that the combat was deep and complex, yet repetitive. seems like a conflict of interest. Anyway, this is a game i’m buying for sure! Can’t wait, ya’ll!

This sucks, I can’t believe IGN gave it a 7. They totally hated the combat, which, admittedly, looks a bit repetitive.

hey does anyone know what media the artist used to color the images.

Most likely Adobe Photoshop and a good graphics tablet

Apologies for the double post:
Would it be possible for ThreeSpeech to find out “exactly”, what tools have gone into the art work for Heavenly Sword?
And without bugging Ninja Theory too much, possibly acquire more concept sketches and character pieces? even to just email to myself or upload in this same thread.
Cheers
